How it all began...
Moose Corner Children's Academy originally started in 1992 as a cooperative daycare exclusively for National Park Service employees living and working in Grand Teton National Park. In 2002 it became apparent there was a need for affordable childcare beyond just the National Park Service staff. So we opened our doors to all families in the area and haven’t looked back!
Under a new center director’s leadership, we started developing a curriculum-based program to enhance our preschool offerings in 2008. Seven years later, renovations were made to a new facility in Moose, WY. We acquired Wyoming state licensing and began transitioning to an emergent curriculum. Our focus became creating meaningful learning experiences based on Reggio Emilia philosophies.
As we continued to adapt and evolve we were in need of a new name that would reflect these changes. And, in 2016 we became Moose Corner Children’s Academy.

What we believe...
Our Mission
Moose Corner Children's Academy is a non-profit early learning center dedicated to providing affordable, nurturing care that fosters growth, learning, acceptance to children ages 6 weeks to 5 years in the Grand Teton National Park community.
Our Philosophy
Moose Corner Children's Academy fosters inclusive environments that support children of all abilities. We value individual differences and believe inclusion benefits all children—those with special needs gain developmental growth through peer modeling, while typically developing children build empathy, communication, and self-confidence. Through shared play and routines, all children learn self-help skills, self-control, and respect for diverse perspectives.
Our Curriculum
At Moose Corner Children’s Academy, we use the Woodland Wonder curriculum by Wonder Garden—a nature-based, whole-child program originally designed for ages 3½ to 5. We thoughtfully scaffold this curriculum to support all age groups in our care, from infants to preschoolers. Through hands-on activities in art, movement, music, science, literacy, and social-emotional learning, children engage with the rhythms of nature in playful, age-appropriate ways that nurture curiosity, creativity, and connection.
